Pinikpikan is one of the traditional gastronomic cuisine of Igorot tribes and it was adopted by all cordillerans especially who lived in high mountains. Pinikpikan perform and done during family gatherings and other occasions for Cordillera people. In Abra, this very unknown for many because it's population is almost Ilocos influence 70% ilocos and 30% tinguian tribes.
Last June 2014 I went home for vacation in Abra to relax and recovery after my operation in Riyadh. I ask my cousins to perform pinikpikan for thankgiving for "Kabunian" and also for the blessings to the family.
